Der Algorithmus dieses Risikotests wurde durch die Autoren dieser Anwendung selbst erstellt. Er basiert auf dem im Jahr 2006 veröffentlichten, evidenz-basierten Konsensus-Papier der American Heart Association zur Schlaganfall-Primärprävention:
